Speed networking – presenters needed

A message from Families Free from Violence coordinator Rob Thompson:

It’s difficult to be aware of all the services available in Dunedin. People who have been zorking in the social and community sector for many years may have personal connections but it can take some time to build these networks.

DCAFV are planning a ‘Speed networking’ hui where agencies and services are able to briefly present their agency to a wider group. At this stage, we will be running two sessions with 10 agencies presenting at each. Each agency will have 10 min to present on their agency, what services they offer, how people can refer and contact them. There will be time for questions and to chat and make connections.

These will be useful for all workers who feel:

  • they can’t keep up with what services are being provided and by whom
  • are unsure about referral processes
  • or don’t know who key contacts are for organisations

If you are interested in presenting, please let Rob know and he can go through the details with you or download this PDF.
