The Green Paper for vulnerable children

New resources make it easier to have your say on vulnerable children
We’ve made it easy for New Zealanders to share their ideas on the Green Paper for Vulnerable Children.
Now is your opportunity to contribute and let the Government know what you think should happen. Resources including a freepost form are available at
The Green Paper was launched by the Government in July, and sets out some ideas on how to improve the lives of vulnerable children.
We need lots of feedback on this issue – making changes will involve some tough decisions. Please forward this email to colleagues, networks, friends and family.
You can also use the resources in a variety of ways. Some ideas are to:
 put a link to the Green Paper on your website
 include information and our banner ad in your newsletters/emails
 display posters at places where people gather.
 distribute resources in your offices, at community days and events, or handing them directly to the families that you know and work with
 encourage your staff and work colleagues to talk about the Green Paper and make a submission
 support or hosting community or workplace meetings to talk about the ideas in the Green Paper
 write a submission on behalf of your organisation
Posters and fact sheets are available. You can order printed copies by emailing
Spread the message to other groups in your community that you know and work with – marae, church groups, sports clubs and other local meeting places.
All New Zealanders are urged to have their say by making a submission before 28 February 2012.
