The Left in Aotearoa:
Some Lessons from Syriza and Podemos

Sue Bradford recently finished her PhD, entitled: ‘A major left wing think tank in Aotearoa – an impossible dream or a call for action?’

Now working for welfare activist group Auckland Action Against Poverty and on a project to establish a radical left think tank in Aotearoa, she shares some thoughts about what lessons we on the left in NZ might learn from the experiences of Podemos and Syriza, despite the huge differences in political, economic and social context.

Sue will also provide a brief update on developments with the left think tank and associated left party/movement building projects.
