Sustainable Community Models: Stories from Dunedin @ Seminar Room, Centre for Innovation | Dunedin | Otago | New Zealand

In recent years there has been much talk of the need for sustainable communities.

But what is a sustainable community?

Why do neighbourhoods matter and why is sustainability important?

How are these communities addressing climate change, globalization and economic hardship
to preserve their communities for future generations?

Representatives from successful, sustainable community models of how communities are working
together to build a resilient future at the local level.

Participants from Blueskin Resilient Community, North East Valley Project, Brockville Community Development
Project and Dunedin City Council will present exciting initiatives being implemented in our
communities towards making Dunedin a sustainable city.
